Having Trusted Small Business E-Commerce Is Important!

Small business e-commerce is a part of the internet today. Small business e-commerce is obviously a big part of entrepreneurship and the start up businesses that many people are getting involved with today. Small business e-commerce is also the most popular way people are buying and selling goods on a regular basis.

Small business e-commerce is so popular in fact that you need to be able to do it well in order to really gain true customers. If you want loyalty from your clients you will want to have great small business e-commerce and successful customer service.

Here are a few tips in order to have great small business e commerce:

1. Don't forget that the people are the important part of your business. No business is successful without people and when you are designing your small business e-commerce you should remember that the people are what should drive you. Before you make a small business e-commerce decision, think about who it will affect.

2. Make your small business e-commerce easy to handle. User friendly formats are the top priority to most people when it comes to small business e commerce. If your small business e-commerce is not easy to use, people just will not use it.

3. To create the most trusted small business e-commerce make sure your site looks reliable. If you have a poorly designed web site many people will not use your small business e-commerce because you won't seem trustworthy. Always put as much contact information on your page as possible for people to use as a reference.
4. Give people plenty of payment options. Small business e-commerce is run by online payments so make sure your customers have plenty of options when it comes to paying with credit cards, money orders and especially in today's world, PayPal or e-gold

5. Have reasonable shipping prices. There is nothing that will drive a customer wilder when dealing with small business e-commerce then too heavy shipping costs. Before you finish designing your small business e-commerce you should make sure you charge reasonable shipping costs.

Small business e-commerce is incredibly important for any product or service based industry. Sure, many product based businesses (such as an eBay business) have to put an extra concentration on great small business e-commerce but service businesses have to be aware of it as well. Why?

Service based businesses still need to charge a person for their services and the internet is a more popular for people to pay then ever before.

The internet is the direction that commerce is starting to go in at an incredibly rapid pace. Click here to read more about e commerce. Small business e-commerce makes up the bulk of e-commerce because of small business entrepreneurs with their own home based businesses.

Blogs Will Change Your Business

Go ahead and bellyache about blogs. But you cannot afford to close your eyes to them, because they're simply the most explosive outbreak in the information world since the Internet itself. And they're going to shake up just about every business -- including yours. It doesn't matter whether you're shipping paper clips, pork bellies, or videos of Britney in a bikini, blogs are a phenomenon that you cannot ignore, postpone, or delegate. Given the changes barreling down upon us, blogs are not a business elective. They're a prerequisite.

There's a little problem, though. Many of you don't visit blogs -- or haven't since blogs became a sensation in last year's Presidential race. Only 27% of Internet users in America now bother to read them. That’s because 99.9% of blogs are offpoint. But there are some 9 million blogs out there, with 40,000 new ones popping up each day, so that leaves some 40 new ones every day that could be talking about your business, engaging your employees, or leaking those merger discussions you thought were hush-hush.

Give the paranoids their due: With a couple of clicks, anything can be broadcast into the blogosphere by anyone with an Internet hookup, and if it's scandalous, others link to it in a flash. And here's the killer: Blog posts linger on the Web forever. Yet not all the news is scary. Ideas circulate as fast as scandal. Potential customers are out there, sniffing around for deals and partners. While you may be putting it off, you can bet that your competitors are exploring ways to harvest new ideas from blogs, sprinkle ads into them, and yes, find out what you and other competitors are up to.

The blogs are turning the world of mass media on its head. Up to now, a lucky handful has owned the publishing machinery and controlled the information. Whether at newspapers or global manufacturing giants, they decide what the masses will learn. This elite still holds sway at most companies. But now, set up a free account at Blogger or other blog services, and you see right away that the cost of publishing has fallen practically to zero. Any dolt with a working computer and an Internet connection can become a blog publisher in the 10 minutes it takes to sign up.

How does business change when everyone is a potential publisher? A vast new stretch of the information world opens up. For now, it's a digital hinterland. The laws and norms covering fairness, advertising, and libel? They don't exist, not yet anyway. But one thing is clear: Companies over the past few centuries have gotten used to shaping their message. Now they're losing control of it.

You Have More Capital than You Think

Senior executives typically delegate responsibility for managing a firm's derivatives portfolio to in-house financial experts and the company's financial advisers. That's a strategic blunder, argues Nobel laureate Robert C. Merton, because the inventiveness of modern financial markets makes it possible for companies to double or even triple their capacity to invest in their strategic assets and competencies.

Risks fall into two categories: either a company adds value by assuming them on behalf of its shareholders or it does not. By hedging or insuring against non-value-adding risks with derivative securities and contracts, thereby removing them from what Merton calls the risk balance sheet, managers can release equity capital for assuming more value-adding risk.

This is not just a theoretical possibility. One innovation--the interest rate swap, introduced about 20 years ago--has already enabled the banking industry to increase dramatically its capacity for adding value to each dollar of invested equity capital. With the range of derivative instruments growing, there is no reason why other companies could not similarly remove strategic risks, potentially creating billions of dollars in shareholder value. The possibilities are especially important for private companies that have no access to public equity markets and, therefore, cannot easily increase their equity capital by issuing more shares.

Merton says derivative contracts of various kinds are already being employed strategically to mitigate or eliminate various risks. Companies can use the risk balance sheet to identify risks they should not bear directly and to determine how much equity capacity they can release for assuming more value-adding risk.
